Part of keeping your teeth and gums healthy involves ensuring you have a regular oral exam. This exam includes identifying any developing dental problems that should be treated immediately, such as decay or gum disease. It can also identify more serious health issues such as mouth cancer. We urge our patients to keep a regular schedule of dental exams that includes an oral exam, X-rays, and photos of the condition of your teeth.
The oral exam will check the depth of the “pockets” around the teeth so that any gum disease can be treated before it worsens.
